Rowena\u2019s responses to my initial inquiries were immediate and super helpful, and she even coordinated with me to block out the dates and time the booking transaction so that nobody could suddenly book any of the dates.<br>We stayed at the villa for 12 nights and could easily have stayed longer. The village of Rangdu, is utterly picturesque. We woke up every day looking out over the lush mountains and forest, listening to the bird song and relishing the sounds of locals going about their business, and quite frankly, we couldn\u2019t believe our luck. The pool was a welcome relief, but as it&#8217;s located in the hills we also enjoyed a breeze and the temperatures were wonderful.<br>Agus is the host with the most! Gentle, kind and helpful, ensuring the place was spic and span every day. Juni cooked us delicious meals and catered for my children\u2019s very conservative taste buds. Gede drove us wherever we wanted to go, with his wonderful smile and contagious laughter.<br>We barely encountered other tourists in the area. Wish we could have done more exploring and spent more time. The ourdoor bathroom on the master suite upstairs is very cool! Gede is your driver, very flexible and friendly, and at least if you are coming from the US Gede is a great value. We just paid what we thought was fair based on the initial stated airport pickup fee taking into consideration fuel costs and his time, something like US $30 for a half day and up to about US $50 for a full day, including all fuel and parking fees. He was available every day for us. Then Agus is a very responsive point of contact once on site. We also gave some tip to Agus and Marta. The reason I bring this up is because all of them were very nice and responsive, I was not sure what is appropriate and customary for tipping, and they were very appreciative. If we needed anything during our stay Agus was very responsive and helpful. I would recommend stopping to pick up some groceries on your drive to the place (for example if you want a good bread) because the local groceries at the place are very limited. Definitely take advantage of Gede as your driver. He will show you things, take you where you want to eat along the way, help you explore the island and navigate everything and communicate with the locals. The setting is picturesque, nestled in the splendor of Northern Bali. The home is even more lovely than the pictures and has everything one could need for a holiday of rest and rejuvenation. What makes this home unparalleled; however, is the staff. It began when Gede picked us up from the airport, full of joy and a wonderful conversationalist. Then upon arrival at the magnificent home, we were greeted by Agus, who is a truly delightful person and took such quiet care of us, and a delicious local meal prepared by Merta, who not only made wonderful food but always did so with a smile and a great warmth. We left the trip feeling like we gained dear friends in these three remarkable humans. What Rowena and Ruud have created here is something very, very special &#8211; a haven for weary souls where they can find peace and restoration. If you are looking for a very private and relaxing vacation far away from the busy and touristic area then this is the place to go! The villa is located in a very friendly village between beautiful rice fields where you can also go for nice morning runs and breathtaking hikes. Agus cooked our breakfast every morning exactly the way we wanted it and another cook made dinner for us every day. The food was very good and we preferred to eat at home rather than going to a restaurant. Agus bought all our groceries and helped us together with Gede, who drove us whenever we needed to go somewhere and showed us very nice places. They were available at any time with every question and request we had and they were always around the villa taking care of us. The whole vacation still was very private and we were not disturbed by the crew at any time. The house and pool gets cleaned every day and we were also able to do our laundry there. Vorerst einmal zu den Fakten: p\u00fcnktliche Abholung durch den Fahrer vom Airport, sehr freundliche Begr\u00fc\u00dfung in der Villa durch den Housekeeper, alles sehr sauber und gepflegt, toller Pool, sch\u00f6ner Garten, gem\u00fctliche Liegen, gro\u00dfe offene R\u00e4ume, klimatisiertes Schlafzimmer, nach oben teilweise offenes Badezimmer, vollausgestattete K\u00fcche, riesige Terrasse zum Verweilen \u2026.<br>Jetzt zu unserer pers\u00f6nlichen Wahrnehmung:<br>T\u00e4glich fr\u00fch morgens und am Nachmittag verrichtete der G\u00e4rtner und Poolboy unauff\u00e4llig seine Arbeit. Er kontrollierte den Pool und s\u00e4uberte den Garten von heruntergefallenen Bl\u00fcten und Bl\u00e4ttern.<br>Der Housekeeper, Agus kam wie am Vortag ausgemacht gegen 8 Uhr um uns das Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck zuzubereiten und im Anschluss alle R\u00e4ume zu reinigen. Dies geschah jedes Mal in einer sehr unaufdringlichen Form, so dass man schon genau hinsehen musste um seine Anwesenheit \u00fcberhaupt zu bemerken. Stets waren saubere und trockene Handt\u00fccher f\u00fcr uns bereit und das Bett immer gemacht.<br>Agus besorgte auch den Einkauf f\u00fcr unser Abendessen, das von Yuli immer sensationell zubereitet wurde. Es gab, und das sagen wir weil es wirklich so war, nichts was wir nicht jederzeit gerne wieder gegessen h\u00e4tten. Alle Mahlzeiten waren reine Gaumenfreuden. Danke Yuli \ud83d\ude0a<br>W\u00e4hrend wir unser Abendessen genie\u00dfen durften, bereitete Agus \u201eheimlich\u201c das Bett zum Schlafengehen vor.<br>Nach dem Abwasch verabschiedete sich Yuli immer sehr herzlich und hinterlie\u00df wieder eine topsaubere K\u00fcche. Agus fragte stets ob wir noch einen Wunsch h\u00e4tten, wie unser Tag verlaufen war und ob wir etwas zu beanstanden h\u00e4tten. Nachdem wir den Einkauf beglichen hatten, w\u00fcnschten wir uns gegenseitig einen sch\u00f6nen Abend und einen angenehme Nachtruhe.<br>Agus k\u00fcmmerte sich auch um von uns gew\u00fcnschte Massagetermine in der Villa. Diese waren jedes Mal super entspannend und sehr g\u00fcnstig.<br>Mit dem Fahrer, Gede machten wir uns mehrmals in der Woche auf, die Insel und ihre Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten zu erkunden. Gede war stets p\u00fcnktlich und brachte uns immer an tolle Orte, die uns fasziniert haben.<br>Trotz des, f\u00fcr europ\u00e4ische Verh\u00e4ltnisse, recht chaotischen Verkehrs, fuhr er sehr umsichtig, so dass wir uns nie unwohl f\u00fchlten und das einen oder andere Mal sogar eingeschlafen sind. Diese Fahrten und die diversen Eintritte sind selbstverst\u00e4ndlich gesondert zu bezahlen, jedoch passt hier das Preis-Leistungsverh\u00e4ltnis.<br>Zwei Tage werden f\u00fcr uns unvergesslich bleiben.<br>Zum einen durften wir an einer Hindu-Zeremonie teilhaben und wir bekamen tolle Einblicke in diese Religion. Unvergesslich wird f\u00fcr uns auch die Tempeleinweihung von Agus` Familientempel bleiben. An dieser Stelle m\u00f6chten wir uns ganz herzlich bei Agus f\u00fcr diese Einladung und Bewirtung bedanken.
